Reds End Albright Streak
Thursday, August 28th , 2059
It was a doubly miserable day for Jared Albright of the Cleveland (AZL) Indians, as he saw his 26-game hitting streak end and his team lose, 5-1, to the Cincinnati (AZL) Reds at Indians Developmental Complex. The 22-year-old left fielder was held hitless in 4 at-bats by the Reds.
"Anyone on a 26-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," Cincinnati (AZL) manager said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done."
This season, Albright has delivered 83 hits in 241 at-bats for a .344 average with 2 home runs. He is getting on base at a .438 clip and his totals also include 19 RBIs and 32 runs scored. This year Albright has played in 61 games.
