Staten Island Advances to Round 2 Tuesday, September 7th , 2060 Jim Carman said his Staten Island Yankees simply weren't ready for the season to come to an end. "We told ourselves we were winning this series no matter what," he said, shortly after being named the Round 1 MVP, following a 1-0 win at Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium that officially eliminated the Norwich Sea Unicorns, 4-2. Carman said his team is "confident and ready" for the Round 2. The Staten Island Yankees will play against the Surrey Twins in the next round. Surrey won their series against the Eugene Emeralds 4 games to 1.
