Anderson Bangs Out 5 Base Hits

The 5th time is the charm -- at least for Nate Anderson.
The catcher for the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes hit the milestone against the Eugene Emeralds, helping his club to a narrow 9-8 victory. Anderson finished with a 5-for-7 line at the plate.
"Anderson was a tough out," Eugene manager told the press in the postgame interview. "If it weren't for him, I think we had this one."
Nate Anderson flied out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th, hit an RBI single in the 11th, hit an RBI single in the 12th and flied out in the 14th.
This season, Anderson has hit at a .354 clip with 16 RBIs, 2 home runs and 13 runs scored.
