Gaona Wins Award for NWL Dominance
Thursday, September 25th , 2059
Bobby Gaona said he thinks hitters often underestimate him, as he's only 23 years old.

But he'll certainly be getting a lot more respect now, as the Boise Hawks rising star has won the Northwest League Reliever of the Year for 2059.

He captured the award on the strength of his 1.69 ERA over 32 innings. He also had 4 saves in 18 relief appearances, 22 strikeouts and only 15 walks.

He received 20 first place votes out of a possible 30. Jon Flores of the Pullman Dodgers finished second in voting with 5 first place votes, while Mitch Barber of the Eugene Emeralds finished third with 1 first place vote.
