Blashill on Fire: 5-for-5 for Williamsport Friday, August 22nd , 2059 Crosscutters shortstop Bill Blashill had his way with Albany pitching at Bowman Field and mauled them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His efforts were all in vain, though, as the White Sox ruined his great day by toppling the Crosscutters, 13-6. "I had a great day, but you've got to give Albany credit, they did what they had to do to win," he told reporters after the game. "They weren't very impressed with my 5 hits." "Oh, we noticed what Blashill did today," White Sox skipper said. "He had quite a game. I can tell you this, we will pitch him a little differently the next time we face him." Bill Blashill singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
