Sanchez Goes on Rampage Against Hawks Tuesday, August 19th , 2059 After a 5-hit effort to lead Surrey's 12-2 victory over the Boise Hawks, shortstop Danny Sanchez told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day." "It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the Short Season A Baseball-level is really something special." The 22-year-old player earned his accolades at Baseball City Complex with a spectacular 5-for-6 game against the Hawks. "His swing is getting there," said Twins skipper , who spoke glowingly of Sanchez after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Danny did that to perfection." Danny Sanchez singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
