Domer Goes Yard 3 Times Sunday, August 29th , 2060 It was a good day for the Jupiter Hammerheads and an exceptional one for Ben Domer. The 21-year-old right fielder sent three bombs out of the park to help the Hammerheads beat the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels, 7-4, at Roger Dean Stadium. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Domer said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day." For the day, he scored 3 times, drove in 5 runs and smacked 4 hits in 5 at-bats. Ben Domer hit a solo-shot off Tony Arroyo in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 8th. This season, Domer is swinging the bat at a .283 rate with 58 hits in 205 at-bats. To date he has hit 6 home runs, scored 24 runs and driven in 32. |
