Lakeland Loses Eddie Haines, Will Miss Season Thursday, August 22nd , 2058 A blow for Eddie Haines today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 12 months with a torn ulnar collateral ligament. Haines suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Lakeland Flying Tigers are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Haines's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature.
