Boykin Strokes 5 Hits Sunday, July 21st , 2058 No matter what the Carolina Mudcats threw at him, Chris Boykin hit it. He easily handled Mudcats pitching, going 5 for 7 and helping the Red Sox triumph, 16-7, at Five County Stadium. "The way I was swinging, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Boykin's quip, Mudcats skipper said he "would take him up on that next time." Chris Boykin hit an RBI single in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Victor Carrasco in the 7th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
