5-Hit Blitz by Holcomb Friday, August 15th , 2059 It seemed that Daytona second baseman Joel Holcomb could do no wrong as the Tortugas KO'd the Marauders, 7-1. Holcomb rapped out 5 hits in 5 at-bats and seemed to know which pitches Marauders hurlers were throwing. "I think the Tortugas were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Bradenton fan after the game. "I felt good. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Holcomb in the postgame press interview. Joel Holcomb doubled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and hit a three-run home run off Andrusha Tenisov in the 7th.
