Sunday, September 15th , 2058
Triple A Baseball fans were certainly not disappointed with this Pacific Coast League League Championship Series.
The two teams were evenly matched and the series went to the final game, with the Las Vegas Aviators prevailing over the Tacoma Rainiers to advance to the Triple A Championship.
Las Vegas won the final game by a score of 4-2 at Las Vegas Ballpark and that sealed the series 3-2.
"Things were tense in our clubhouse and dugout before and during this game, but we can let loose a bit now -- the hard work is over, for now," said second baseman Eric Edwards, who earned MVP honors.
For the series, Edwards hit .474 with a .524 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, 1 RBI and scored 4 runs.
The Las Vegas Aviators will play against the Buffalo Bisons in the next round. Buffalo won their series against the Durham Bulls 3 games to 0. The Triple A Championship schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
