Week's Top Performer Honored by PCL Monday, May 27th , 2058 Mike Mendez stepped up to the plate in a big way last week and today he took home the Pacific Coast League Player of the Week honors. The El Paso third baseman ripped opposing pitchers for 13 hits in 23 at-bats and 3 home runs. He put together a sizzling .565 batting average as he knocked in 9 runs and scored 5 times. At the moment, Mendez is batting .409 with 3 home runs and 16 RBIs. He has played in 25 games and scored 8 times. |
