Reno's Malady Sidelined for Season Wednesday, July 14th , 2055 Watching Chris Malady getting helped off the field today at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, fans of the Reno Aces feared the worst. The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the starting pitcher will miss 14 months with a damaged elbow ligament. "We feel we've dodged a bullet. When you see a guy break down like that, you worry right away," a team spokesman said. Malady suffered the injury throwing a pitch in the game against the Dodgers.
