Injury Worsens, Return Delayed for Dodgers Lewis Sunday, July 6th , 2059 The Oklahoma City Dodgers received some bad news when the team's medical staff announced that Steve Lewis would miss even more time than had previously been expected. Lewis, who is currently out with a sprained ankle, was evaluated by doctors yesterday and tests showed that the injury was not healing as quickly as they expected. Instead, the 23-year-old catcher will have to spend another one week in treatment. Lewis is hitting .290 this year with 1 home run, 10 RBIs and 11 runs scored. He has 29 hits in 100 at-bats, 14 walks and a .377 on-base percentage. Lewis has played in 38 games. |
