Grizzlies End Mendez Streak Sunday, June 29th , 2059 Mike Mendez's sizzling hitting streak was snapped at 20 games, as the El Paso Chihuahuas dropped their contest with the Fresno Grizzlies, 3-0, at Chukchansi Park. Mendez failed to get a hit, finishing 0-for-4. After the game Mendez spoke with BNN and called his effort "quite a streak." "I just ran into some good pitching today," he said. Thus far this season, Mendez has hit .332 with 7 home runs, 32 RBIs and scored 32 times. |
