The Salt Lake Bees picked up a win at Smith's Ballpark, downing the Reno Aces, 10-5. On the mound for Salt Lake was right-hander Jerry Hoover, who played a pivotal role in the win. Their 85-42 record puts the Bees first in the Pacific Coast League South Division.

Geoff Radford aided the Salt Lake cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the center fielder went 1-2 with a walk.

"I feel like we're rolling now," Radford told the Salt Lake Citizen."The dugout is coming alive."
