Sacramento Edges Oklahoma City in Extra Innings
|
Sutter Health Park played host to some real drama.
The Sacramento River Cats picked up a win at Sutter Health Park, dropping the Oklahoma City Dodgers, 6-5, in 13 innings. Dan Weiss was the difference-maker. Sacramento currently is in 4th place in the Pacific Coast League North Division at 68-60.
Up to bat in the bottom of the 13th, 24-year old left fielder Dave Araujo had a chance to be the hero. Oklahoma City pitcher Yurii Erantsev wanted to foil that plan. But with one out, Araujo hit a sacrifice fly. The River Cats had themselves a thrilling win.
"The crowd went nuts," Araujo said.
