Poulson Powers Aviators Offense
|
Aviators first baseman Elijah Poulson left his imprint on his team's 10-4 win over the Round Rock Express. Poulson was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4 for Las Vegas in the contest. Chris Whitcomb earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. He upped his record to 2-0. The win puts Las Vegas at 71-56 this season.
Las Vegas used the timely hitting of Edgar Vega to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Aviators on top, 6-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"This team is real focused right now," said Las Vegas manager .
