Larios Shines in 6-4 El Paso Win
|
Getting a good performance from shortstop Frank Larios, the El Paso Chihuahuas defeated the Nashville Sounds, 6-4. Larios was 2-2 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Chihuahuas. Mike Doorn, credited with the win in relief, is now 4-3. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2 innings. Jim Oesterling collected his 19th save.
El Paso took control in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and a runner on 2nd, Jonah Bull hit a run-scoring single to make it 4-3, Chihuahuas.
"Whenever you can come through for your ball club, it's a great thing," said Larios.
With the victory, the Chihuahuas record stands at 43-82.
