The exploits of first baseman Gil Burks helped the Fresno Grizzlies defeat the Wichita Wind Surge, 5-2. Burks went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Fresno now owns a record of 64-53.

Harvey, Illinois native Gil Burks had a clutch at-bat in the top of the eighth for the Grizzlies. With Fresno trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run single.
