|
Omaha pitcher Jon Fox did his part in helping his team defeat the Wichita Wind Surge, 3-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. In 7 innings, Fox surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Ethan Gaine got the save, the 8th for him this season.
Alex Fabela took Wichita hurler Mike Reid deep in the top of the third. His solo home run put the Storm Chasers on top, 1-0. In all, Fabela had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
