Tortugas Get Gritty, 3-2 Win
The Daytona Tortugas, despite a fine performance by Florida pitcher Eddie McArdle, grabbed a 3-2 win at CoolToday Park. McArdle allowed 1 run over 5.2 innings. Elijah Plummer recorded the save for Daytona, his 20th of the season. The third-place Tortugas now have a record of 62-56.

Daytona used the timely hitting of Tillmam Massarico to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Tortugas on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It's still just a game," said Massarico, "whether you win or lose."
