Threshers Beat Marauders, 8-4
|
The Threshers grabbed a win, 8-4, at LECOM Park, overcoming a fine effort from Bradenton pitcher Jordan Moro. Moro went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. The Threshers sit in 5th place in the FSL North with a record of 42-61.
Had Jordan Bedford not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Bedford hit a 2-run single. That made the score 5-3, in favor of the Threshers.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Threshers manager . "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
