In a low-scoring contest between the Daytona Tortugas and the Clearwater Threshers, Sean Underwood was the X factor. The Daytona right-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. The winner was Underwood. He threw 5.1 innings allowing 1 run. The loser was Jon Penka. Daytona occupies third place in the FSL North at 46-48.

Daytona used the hitting of Josh Allanson to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Tortugas on top, 3-1. For the game, Allanson had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
