Fire Frogs Lose Again, 5-1, to Flying Tigers
|
Randy McCloskey was nothing short of phenomenal for the Lakeland Flying Tigers. The 20-year-old right-hander was a big reason his team beat the Florida Fire Frogs, 5-1. McCloskey yielded 1 run over 5 innings to notch the win. He scattered 1 hit, walked 4, and struck out 4. His record improves to 6-4. Doug Sackett closed the game out for Lakeland, earning his 21st save.
Jeremy Segal helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a run-scoring single to give Lakeland a 1-0 lead.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Segal said after the game.
Lakeland is now 57-26, while Florida is 38-45.
