Marauders Run Win Streak to 18
|
The bats were silent much of the day at LECOM Park. But 21-year old shortstop Jeremy Sanders produced just enough offense to carry the Marauders past the Palm Beach Cardinals, 2-0. Sanders went 4-4 with 4 singles. The winning continues for Bradenton, with the latest triumph making it 18 straight.
Jim Sanders had a key at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for Bradenton. With the bases loaded and the Marauders leading 1-0, he hit a sacrifice fly.
"Clutch hitting plus clutch pitching usually equals a win," said Sanders.
