Marauders Victors, 8-7, at Dunedin
|
Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Dunedin Blue Jays take on the Bradenton Marauders.
Marauders center fielder Josh McDermott put his stamp on his team's 8-7 win over the Dunedin Blue Jays. McDermott was 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 3 times for Bradenton in the contest. Chris Rocha picked up the save for Bradenton, his 1st of the year.
Jim Molony drove in one run for Bradenton. The 22-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 6-6 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Oscar Patino. It was his 13th RBI of the season.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Molony told the Bradenton Chronicle.
The Marauders lead the FSL South by 3 games.
