Cardinals Edge Past Threshers, 3-2
|
Roger Dean Stadium was the site of some high drama.
The Palm Beach Cardinals scored a tight, 3-2 win versus the Clearwater Threshers at Roger Dean Stadium. Palm Beach pitcher Jose Herrera held his own in the contest. The winner was Hector Pena in relief. His record improves to 1-3. Tim Manning took the loss.
Tomas Perdomo was the walk-off hero for Palm Beach. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Cardinals left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
