In a tight tilt between the Daytona Tortugas and the St. Lucie Mets, Mike Berube was the deciding factor. The Daytona right-hander spearheaded the 3-0 win. Berube, now 5-4, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 4, walking 1, and allowing no runs. Picking up his 6th save was 24-year old right-handed pitcher Elijah Plummer.

The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the top of the fourth inning, but Berube was able to pitch out of a jam. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and St. Lucie trailing 1-0, Berube retired Mike Murray, who grounded out.

Daytona now sports a record of 20-21.
