The Palm Beach Cardinals beat the Jupiter Hammerheads, 5-1, at Roger Dean Stadium. Jon Bridegroom starred for Palm Beach. He went 2-4 with 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI. Willie Bautista, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-0. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 4 innings. Jupiter, with the loss, is still a hardy 3-1.

Bridegroom hit a 2-run single in the top of the third to help the Palm Beach cause. The single, which was hit off Joe Welz, allowed Palm Beach to take a 2-0 lead.
