O'Neil Leads Sounds to Win
|
Getting a good performance from shortstop Bob O'Neil, the Nashville Sounds defeated the Iowa Cubs, 6-0. O'Neil went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Sounds. The Sounds now have a record of 52-45.
Nashville took a 2-0 lead on O'Neil's 4th home run of the season. The solo home run, which he hit off Rocky Killgore in the top of the seventh, propelled Nashville to the win.
