Albuquerque Falters Again, Loses, 3-2, to El Paso

The El Paso Chihuahuas did just enough to sneak past the Albuquerque Isotopes, 3-2, at Rio Grande Credit Union Field at Isotopes Park. El Paso pitcher Alex Lake, in particular, had a standout performance. Picking up the save was 22-year old right-handed pitcher Jim Oesterling. The win boosts the Chihuahuas to 42-49. The loss puts the Isotopes at 45-46.
El Paso used a clutch at-bat from Dan Crowther to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Chihuahuas ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"From the last whatever, five, six, seven games, there's really only one way to go and that's up," said losing manager .
