River Cats Win at El Paso, 3-2
|
Sacramento beat El Paso at Southwest University park, escaping with a 3-2 win. The win in large part was due to center fielder Ramon Morales. He was 3-4 with 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The save went to Andy Forbus, his 1st this season. Sacramento is now 41-48.
There was more than one reason the River Cats beat the Chihuahuas, but Morales's big at-bat in the top of the second was an important factor. He staked his team to a 1-0 lead when he hit a run-scoring single.
Morales said his team "played with focus."
