Curry Powers Express Offense
The umbrellas came out during the Round Rock-Salt Lake contest at Smith's Ballpark.

The Round Rock Express beat the Salt Lake Bees, 9-1, at Smith's Ballpark. Round Rock center fielder Mike Curry had an outstanding performance. He went 4-5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Steve Austin got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 7 innings.

Curry had an important at-bat with a runner on 1st in the top of the sixth, when he hit a double. The Express went on to win.

"We took a roundhouse punch to the chin," said losing manager .

The second-place Express have a record of 46-28.
