River Cats Win Nail-Biter
|
Sacramento turned a good effort from starting pitcher Alan Henkin into a win over the Reno Aces at Sutter Health Park. The final score was 1-0 in 11 innings. Sacramento reliever Caleb Morrison was the winner. His record is now 1-2. Colt Bast took the loss. At 35-37, Sacramento is in 5th place in the Pacific Coast League North Division.
The River Cats got a clutch hit from second baseman Willie Buruato. In the bottom of the 11th, he hit a run-scoring single to right-center, to win the game for the River Cats.
"He who laughs last laughs best," Henkin said, postgame.
