Slumping Aces Lose 6th Straight
The Fresno Grizzlies handed the Reno Aces a loss at Chukchansi Park. The final score was 9-8. Major production was provided by Danny Kelly for Fresno. In addition to his 1 single and 2 home runs, he scored 2 runs and drove in 4. He also added 1 walk. Fresno reliever Tommy Huebner picked up the win to move to 1-1. Tony McCracken suffered the loss. The second-place Grizzlies lifted their record to 35-25.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Fresno trailing 8-7, Kelly jumped on a fastball from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Tony McCracken and hit a 2-run home run to right. With one swing, the Grizzlies had a walk-off win.

"Both teams had plenty of clutch hits," said Kelly. "It made for an exciting game."
