The Wichita Wind Surge had to overcome a good performance from Salt Lake pitcher Mike Evans to claim a 3-2 win at Riverfront Stadium. Evans went 8 innings and allowed 1 run. Andy Campi snagged the win in relief. He goes to 4-3 on the season. Chris Goings suffered the loss. The Wind Surge improved to 31-27.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Wichita catcher Jared Roberts, facing Chris Goings, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Wind Surge the 3-2 win.

"We took home the win," said Roberts. "What's not to like?"
