Chihuahuas Collect 7-5 Win Over Sounds
Mike Leatherman did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to spare the Nashville Sounds an extra-inning, 7-5 loss to the El Paso Chihuahuas at First Horizon Park. Leatherman went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Jim Oesterling recorded the save for El Paso, his 7th of the season. El Paso is now 23-30, Nashville 24-29.

El Paso used the hitting of Alan Polidori to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Chihuahuas on top, 6-5. For the game, Polidori had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Polidori.
