Redbirds Use Late Rally to Win
The Memphis Redbirds stopped the Salt Lake Bees, 8-6, at Smith's Ballpark. The Redbirds got a big game from Joe Monroe, who was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Reliever Luis Borrayo picked up the win. His record improves to 2-0. Dan Markham took the loss. The save went to Joe Garvey, number 7 for him.

Memphis used a clutch hit from Danny Lee to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Redbirds ahead, 8-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

Monroe said afterward that "winning, obviously, is the main objective."

With the victory, the Redbirds record stands at 27-25.
