Salt Lake Gets 5-0 Win
|
Salt Lake turned a fine outing from starter Phil Goodrich into a victory over the Sacramento River Cats at Sutter Health Park. The final score was 5-0. The Bees are now 40-10, while the River Cats fall to 26-24.
Salt Lake used the timely hitting of Steve Clifton to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Bees ahead, 3-0. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"Phil pitched the ball pretty freaking great," said Salt Lake manager .
