The Wichita Wind Surge picked up a win at Greater Nevada Field, downing the Reno Aces, 5-0. On the mound for Wichita was right-hander Dan Stamp, who played a pivotal role in the win. The winning pitcher was Stamp, now 3-2. He tossed 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 2. Penn Fuller earned the save for Wichita, his 1st.

Omar Padilla dealt the Aces a blow in the top of the sixth. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and Wichita leading 1-0, Padilla, who is tied for 2nd in the PCL with a .409 batting average, hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring single.

"Dan was hitting his spots and everything had life," said Wichita manager .

Wichita is now 19-14, Reno 13-20.
