Gomez Helps Chihuahuas Defeat Rainiers, 5-2
Getting a good performance from catcher Adrian Gomez, the El Paso Chihuahuas defeated the Tacoma Rainiers, 5-2. Gomez went 4 for 4 with a double and 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Chihuahuas. Serban Hila notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 5.1 innings. His record now sits at 2-0. Jim Oesterling finished the game for El Paso and earned his 4th save.

Early in the game, Gomez had a bases-clearing double for El Paso. It was his 1st double of the season and put the Chihuahuas on top, 3-0.
