Storm Chasers Absorb 7-5 Loss at Riverfront Stadium
|
A 3-RBI performance from Chris Horton helped the Wichita Wind Surge beat the Omaha Storm Chasers, 7-5. Wichita reliever Steve Weinberger was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Kevin Price took the loss. The second-place Wind Surge have a record of 17-13.
Wichita took a 6-5 lead on Manny Espino's 1st triple of the season. The run-scoring triple, which Espino hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Omaha pitcher Dennis Zigay visibly frustrated.
"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Espino.
