The rain could not dampen the enthusiasm of Salt Lake fans at Smith's Ballpark.

The Salt Lake Bees stopped the Fresno Grizzlies, 6-1, at Smith's Ballpark. The Bees got a big game from Ian Valerino, who was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Josh Pershing got the win, improving to 2-0. He held the Grizzlies to 1 run on 5 hits over 6.1 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 2.

Geoff Radford cracked a home run off Zach Lentini in the bottom of the third. His 2-run blast put the Bees on top, 2-1. In all, Radford had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"It's good to win," Radford told the Salt Lake Bulletin. "I like to have fun doing it."

The win puts Salt Lake at 19-7.
