Salt Lake turned a good effort from starter Phil Goodrich into a win over the Reno Aces at Smith's Ballpark. The final score was 7-2. The Aces, now 7-12, continue their inauspicious start.

The Bees got a big at-bat from second baseman Dirkjan de Vries. For the game, de Vries went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Salt Lake a 2-1 lead.

"It's about putting our team in the best position to win ballgames," said Goodrich.
