Majarelli 3-for-4, Leads Rangers to Win
|
The Texas (AZL) Rangers cruised to a win over the Cleveland (AZL) Indians, 12-4, at Surprise Stadium. Carlo Majarelli led the way, going 3-for-4 for Texas (AZL). Pat Hawk earned his 1st save, after closing out the game. Cleveland (AZL) now owns a losing streak of 6 games.
Greg Kuchler had a big bases-clearing triple for the Rangers in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Texas (AZL) leading 4-3 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Jonathan Marin and swatted a triple to center. It was his 3rd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rangers ahead, 7-3.
"Hitting is contagious. And when you have a lineup that's going to throw out competitive at-bats one through nine, it makes you want to join in," said Kuchler.
