Marlins Win 1-0 Nail-Biter Versus Mets
In a low-scoring tilt between the Miami (GCL) Marlins and the New York N (GCL) Mets, 18-year old right-handed pitcher Jorge Ruiz was the difference-maker. The Miami (GCL) right-hander spearheaded the 1-0 win in 10 innings. The Marlins saw their record improve to 24-42.

The Marlins got a clutch hit from catcher Randy Tenpenny. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Marlins.

"Wins don't come easy," Ruiz told the Miami (GCL) Daily. "They don't just hand them out like lollipops."
