The rain came, as predicted, but the Toronto (GCL) Blue Jays and Tampa Bay (GCL) Rays were able to complete their ballgame.

Though he had a terrific game, Oscar Diaz could not prevent his team, the Tampa Bay (GCL) Rays, from absorbing a loss. Toronto (GCL) won the game, 6-5. Diaz went 3-3 with 3 singles and a walk. Danny Salas was the winner in relief. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Tony Pinero.

Toronto (GCL) used a clutch at-bat from Ricky DiMeglio to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Blue Jays ahead, 5-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said DiMeglio.
