Twins Find a Way to Win
Despite a fine performance by third baseman Nick Garza, the New York N (GCL) Mets lost to the Minnesota (GCL) Twins, 8-7, in 11 innings. Garza went 5-6 with 5 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. John Eggleston wrapped it up, recording his 2nd save. The second-place Twins lifted their record to 17-3.

Minnesota (GCL) used the timely hitting of Chris Blair to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Twins on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"This kind of game is tough on the heart," said winning manager .
