The Wichita Wind Surge topped the Nashville Sounds, 11-5, with youngster Ian Schermerhorn playing a key role. Schermerhorn went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3 for the Wind Surge in the win. Wichita reliever Pete Prescott picked up the win, raising his record to 2-0. Cesar Contreras was tagged with the loss. The win gives Wichita a record of 10-7.
